“”You might not have a shift tomorrow, the truck almost caught on fire twice today.”

I’m without words.

As much as you do not want to lose the money, you might be worse off working on the truck when something does fail.
I don’t think I’d be wanting to ride in a truck that has a tendency to catch fire…perhaps the good news is that you don’t have to go

But a Rolling Death Trap at a rollover contest – what could be better? Maybe having the person, who claims the Rolling Death Trap is safe to ride in, driving it during the rollover contest.
I like my schadenfreude with just a touch of irony. OK, maybe a little more than just a touch. :-)
Hey Rogue and Sandi,
I really wasn’t all that excited about riding in a truck they refer to as “The Rolling Death Trap”, so I wasn’t heartbroken when my supervisor called this morning to tell me that the truck was out of service for the weekend (and with that, four hours of very easy work). Just to prove the idea that things have a tendancy to work themselves out, he called me back a few minutes later with an offer to work at the speedway for eight hours. Tonight’s feature? The rollover contest. Yay.
