I am not entirely sure if this is what you are talking about but we played a similar looking game called corn hole bean bag toss. Why corn hole? I have no idea. But basically they were bean bags and we tried to get them through through the hole.
Oh and west coast but parents are mid-westeners and my older siblings were born and raised in the south.
We call it Corn Hole, but a friend of mine is arguing that… Glad to know we’re not the only one :)

Corn Hole, the corn in the bags and the hole in the board. Corn Hole. Got that from my brother in law from Ohio.
Cornhole here as well. I know some of the ND college kids have another name for it but I couldn’t tell you what it is. Oh and I’m in Northern Indiana, right by the ND campus.
It’s cornhole. I grew up in Toledo and now live in Tennessee. It has always been called cornhole in both places.
Well since we are next door neighbors.. yep we call it ‘Corn Hole’ as well here in Western PA.
I still laugh every time I hear the word or hear the mention of the game.

Definitely bean bag toss. I’ve never heard it called corn hole, though I find that much funnier for some reason.
And I’m from Texas.
Corn hole- Louisiana, Texas Arkansas all use that term.

They are called “Quoits”, pronounced kwaits. I live in the Slate Belt of PA, about 30 mi NE of Allentown and 75 mi due west of NYC.
I play that game at all my family parties. It’s called Bag-O
We call it Washers, where I’m from.
