I have to apologize for being so lax in posting about school, particularly since so many of you gave so much for me to be able to attend.
For the record, I’m in heaven.
I’m loving it.
LOVING it.
I’m in my element. I’m where I’m supposed to be. I have an amazing instructor who knows her shit. I have phenomenal lab instructors. In the last three plus weeks I’ve had just as many tests and have held a strong “A” average. We’re currently testing out on all of our basic skills (BLS comes before ALS yanno!), and I’ve been introduced to some airway equipment I wasn’t aware of before now (PTL and the EOA specifically…)
I am loving it.
Thank you. Thank you so much. Keep thinking good thoughts for me.

Woo-hoo! So glad ur enjoying it :)
How long is the course for?
It’s just about a year long…
The challenge will be remaining as positive when I’m ready to pull my hair out in about ten months :)
Eww, you have the learn the DOA? I wish we could get rid of it here. You know, advance all the way into 1980′s to ’09s EMS.
You will be just fine! Especially since I will boot kick your butt through the next 10 months if I have to! LOL! Just be glad that your course is only 10 months mine is 2 friggin’ years long! EVIL LOL! I am so happy that you are doing so well and enjoying it so much!
I think the school thing has finally kicked in for me and its time to rock this place out! And the same for you- rock out girl!
Hey B… It’s bad when the lab instructor is apologizing for having to check us off on a piece of equipment that he hasn’t seen in at least ten years and that he’s never used in the field :)
I’m so glad to hear that school is going well and that you’re enjoying it. Keep up the good work!
I barely got thru High School. The only reason I passed was because if I didnt I couldnt play sports.
But when I finally got to EMT and then Paramedic school I ACED it!! I loved it with a passion! Its amazing how well you do when your actually learning something you like. =)
You’ll ace this. BET!!

Wow, EOA. I am in the last two weeks of medic school and I haven’t seen that before either. We learned about the PTL but my instructor couldn’t seem to find one in their supplies. Glad you’re enjoying your class, the last month is the hardest :D
Epi, your post got me so stoked! I start on the 29th and I’m counting down my shifts left (five!) I’m excited to start… And my class is 10 months, too. I’ll be done next summer. We’ll rock this!
